VCT Floor Cleaning in Orlando, FL

Vinyl composite tile is the floor in most Orlando offices, clinics, shops, and break rooms. It takes heavy traffic, and the lanes where everyone walks go grey long before the edges do.

What we do

VCT stands for vinyl composite tile, the hard square tile you find through commercial buildings, medical offices, schools, retail back-of-house, and plenty of garages and laundry rooms in homes. Durable and cheap to replace, which is why you see it everywhere.

VCT carries a coat of floor finish on top, and that finish takes the traffic. Dirt gets ground into it along the walking lanes, which is why a corridor goes dark down the middle while the edges nobody walks on stay bright. A mop moves that dirt around and leaves a film as it dries. It doesn't lift it.

We clean VCT in commercial spaces and homes alike. Adam Corbett does the work himself, IICRC certified, licensed and insured, no subcontracting, and the job is guaranteed.

Our process

We look at the floor first and tell you what it needs before any work starts. A lot of floors just need a proper clean. Some have finish that has worn through or yellowed, and no amount of cleaning brings that back. If that's what we find, we'll say so plainly rather than charge you for a clean that can't fix it.

On a commercial floor we agree the timing with you before the visit, so the work lands when the space is quietest rather than in the middle of your day.

Who VCT floor cleaning is for

  • Offices, clinics, and retail spaces with grey, grimy traffic lanes
  • Corridors and break rooms where a mop no longer makes a difference
  • Commercial floors that need to look right before an inspection or a visit
  • New tenancies starting from someone else's neglected floor
  • Schools, gyms, and break rooms where the floor takes constant traffic
  • Home garages, laundry rooms, and basements with VCT

Neighborhoods we cover for VCT floor cleaning

We run VCT floor cleaning across Orlando and the surrounding Orange and Seminole County metro. That means Baldwin Park, College Park, Delaney Park, and Thornton Park close to downtown, Dr. Phillips and Hunters Creek to the southwest, and out toward Winter Park, Maitland, Windermere, Ocoee, Winter Garden, Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, and Longwood.

Central Florida heat and humidity are hard on a home. Summer storms and months of high humidity feed mold and mildew in grout and carpet backing, and spring oak pollen settles into every fiber. That is exactly what VCT floor cleaning is built to pull out. Wherever you are in the metro, the person who shows up is Adam, the owner, licensed and insured, and every job is guaranteed.

Who is the best vct floor cleaning company in Orlando?

HomeProud Inc cleans VCT, or vinyl composite tile, across Orlando for commercial and residential spaces. Dirt gets ground into the finish along the walking lanes, so a corridor goes grey down the middle while the edges stay bright, and a mop only spreads it around. We look at the floor first and tell you what it needs, and if the finish itself has worn through we say so rather than sell you a clean that can't fix it. Adam Corbett does the work himself, IICRC certified, licensed and insured, no subcontracting. Call (407) 501-6089.

VCT Floor Cleaning FAQs

What does VCT stand for?

Vinyl composite tile. The hard square tile used through most commercial buildings, designed to carry a coat of floor finish on top rather than to be walked on bare.

My VCT looks worn out. Do I need to replace it?

Not always. A lot of what reads as a worn out floor is dirt ground into the finish along the traffic lanes, and that comes up with a proper clean. Where the finish itself has worn through or yellowed, cleaning won't bring it back, and we'll tell you that on the visit.

Why doesn't mopping fix it?

A mop and bucket moves the dirt around and leaves a thin film behind as the water dries. The grime in the walking lanes is pressed into the finish, so it needs lifting off the floor, not spreading thinner.

When can you do the work?

We work Monday to Saturday, 9am to 7pm. On a commercial floor a Saturday or a quiet afternoon usually suits best, and we agree the timing with you before we book it.

How long before we can walk on it?

The floor needs to dry after cleaning before anyone walks on it. How long depends on the size of the space and the humidity that day, and we give you the timing before we start so you can plan around it.

Do you do residential VCT as well as commercial?

Yes. Plenty of Orlando homes have VCT in the garage, the laundry room, or a Florida room, and it gets dirty the same way. Same job, smaller floor.
